Meerlust Rubicon 2015, Stellenbosch W.O., South Africa: Old world elegance meets new world wine technology with Meerlust's Rubicon 2015. A delicious blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot each separately vinified, blended and matured 18 months in new oak and second use oak. Lots of well-developed muscle on this deep red with smoky, ripe black fruit, cedar and cigar box spice nose. Pair with roast pheasant.
