Morambro Creek / This 2016 Shiraz is the deepest darkest purple and there is so much on this wine from blackberry, chocolate and spicy caramel flavours with a satiny vanilla, and long minty finish. The Jip Jip Rocks are a striking outcrop of 350 million year old pink-red granite in the heart of the Padthaway region which are sacred to traditional Aboriginal beliefs. Minty cool on the nose with wild blackberry and brambleberry on the palate. Full-bodied, smooth and supple with richness and depth that is very satisfying. Pair with hearty meat dishes. MINE: Jip Jip Rocks 2016 is a great value Shiraz under $20 from Marambro Creek, Padthaway wine region in South Australia. Love the classic, blackberry and menthol nose on this dark, dark purple wine. On the palate this full-bodied Shiraz is ripe blackberry, vanilla spice and dark chocolate mint flavours on the palate. This is good stuff! The Jip Jip Rocks are a striking outcrop of 350 million year old pink-red granite in the heart of the Padthaway region which are sacred to traditional Aboriginal beliefs. OTHER: Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: Mouth-watering full-throttle Shiraz brimming with flavours of red berries, mocha and subtle spices. Excellent match for rack of lamb. Tasted March 2018. OTHER: The Jip Jip Rocks Shiraz is always a big hit with Vintages customers, and the 2017 will give you even more to be excited about. The harvest was three weeks later than usual, a result of cooler-than-normal temperatures which lengthened the ripening process. This slow but steady ripening resulted in wines of exceptional balance and even greater flavour concentration. Look for opulent black fruit framed by vanilla and smoke notes and a burly intensity matched by an elegant, finessed acidity. This is a wine for beef (Vintages Panel, updated). - Community Wine Reviews

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
