Reviews and Ratings

Lots of mocha and sweet chocolate notes on the palate from generous oak ageing. Full-bodied, reasonably priced Italian red for pizza or pasta. This organic wine has just 16 mg/l of free sulphur. MINE: From Umani Ronchi Monti Pagano (2015), this full-bodied rustic and organic red from the Montepulciano Abruzzo wine region is great value. Sourced from organically farmed vineyards, this wine is full of ripe black fruit flavours, kissed by a touch of oak. Enjoy with grilled fare. OTHER: Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review: Sage, ripe red berries, and mild allspice notes. Light-medium bodied dry simple red. Easy drinking lacks some concentration and complexity. Tasted July 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca. OTHER: This wine sees just a touch of oak barrel after fermentation, rounding out the texture while keeping the focus on fresh, forward fruit. It's brimming with plum, raspberry and boysenberry, with subtle earthy shading, and will go nicely with pasta in tomato sauce. (Vintages panel, Jan. 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
