Absolutely superb sparkling wine from South Africa made in the classic Champagne method of the second fermentation in the bottle. This rosé is beautifully fragranced with small field berries and strawberries. This winery is located between the Breede River and Langeberg mountains in the Robertson region. The Bon Courage Wine Estate, owned by the Bruwer family for three generations, produced this bubbly made form 100% Pinot Noir grapes. It's named for the family's French Huguenot ancestors, the Bruéres, who came from the Loire Valley. Pair with seafood and field greens.

100% Pinot Noir from Robertson, in South africa, fermented in the traditional method. It has a surprising amount of age to it, yet it remains alive. It is quite well made, though more autolytic (yeasty) than more balanced examples. That is obviously going to appeal to a lot of people, however.
A pretty bubblegum pink, with orange reflections that give it some lovely complexity.
Good, persistant bulbbles that are moussey and rich from the time it took to make this wine.
The aromatics are quite autolytic, but you get greate leanness and purity (classic fruitiness that you get when the sparkling is Pinot heavy). Lots of red grapefruit, raw dough, strawberry, maraschino cherry, and some minerality is evident.
The flavours are pretty fine. Good acodoty amd freshness. Lots of berry and cherry. There is a citrusy zing too. Full flavoured bubbly to be sure.
It is hard to refuse good sparkling no matter the pairing option, but ideal for this might be a smothered lobster roll.
Try not to keep it too much longer, but if you stock up on this, it should keep for at least 3-5 years.

This rosé bubble is made from 100% Pinot Noir and is named for Bruwers' French Huguenot ancestors, the Bruéres. On the palate, a delicate mousse with lovely flavours of pink grapefruit, strawberry wrapped up in a toasty elegance.
