Tropical and revivifying, this New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is bright and fruity. Mango, passion fruit, grapefruit, tangerine and kiwi aromas intoxicate your nose as you sip this intensely zesty and thirst quenching white!

One fresh Sauv Blanc! Glistening brilliance in the glass, with aromas of freshly cut grass and lime that carry through with persistent zippiness and a lengthy lime finish.
Beautiful with goat cheese or chicken kiev.
Tasted November 2017.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Quite inviting on the nose - nectarine, mango, tropical fruit, rain kissed thriving herbs - rich and flavorful - great mouthfeel and a lovely pungent acidity, lingering finish. Most enjoyable!
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

There's everything good about New Zealand savvy, with citrus and a hit of unripe stone fruit, and just a bit of capsicum and green tropical fruit. Perfect balance. 91 points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This handcrafted Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc from a small family winery packs a big punch. Aromas of ripe tropical fruit give way to zesty flavors of lime, peach and herbs. This would be great paired with a plate of creamy seafood pasta.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Mouthwatering, refreshing, zippy, tangy. Lemongrass, green mango, honeydew melon, savoury. Pairs well with white fish, roast pork, goat cheese and pesto thin crust pizza. Tasted 2016 vintage in Nov 2017. 90 points. #BespokeTastings
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delicious, fresh and lively Sauv Blanc with grassy, green bean, apple and citrus aromas and flavours leading to a medium-long nutty finish. Pretty cool stuff. Enjoy with grilled chicken breast topped with herbed goat cheese.
Andrea Shapiro - Andrea's Wine Cellar rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Water white colour with a vibrant, fruity, grassy bouquet. Kiwi, starfruit, gooseberry, asparagus, freshly cut pineapple skins and wet rock notes. Also a touch of rosemary. This brightens up in on the palate with apple fruit, grapefruit, citrus and kiwi fruit again. Light bodied, very tart, crisp and refreshing. Pair with herbed goats cheese and chicken salad wraps.
90 points - November 2017
Lori Kilmartin - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

New Zealand does Sauv. Blanc well and this is another excellent example. Grassy and herbaceous. Lemon and lime pith nose with mouth watering acidity. Ripe pineapple and grapefruit flavours that linger. Tasted November 19, 2017.
Donna Hargrove rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale yellow in the glass, a nice blend of cut grass and lime on the nose. Tropical fruit notes with a smooth crisp finish with medium acidity. Delicious with a white fish.

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Sept. 28th, 2017. Colour white gold, medium legs, Aromas and Flavours of, passion fruit, kiwi, hint of gooseberry, white grapefruit, green melon. Intense flavours. Taste, medium dry, mouthwatering acidity, long tropical fruit finish. I like this. Refreshing well balanced good price. Pair with white chocolate, grilled lemon shrimp, grilled white fish.
This Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, South Island, Sugar Loaf (2016) is a family-owned winery in the heart of Marlborough's Rapaura region. They specialize in small batch winemaking. The name Sugar Loaf is a nod to the islands that lie off the Taranaki Coastline, where Sugar Loaf winery founder, Kate Aceland, grew up. The islands are the earliest remnants of volcanic activity in this region, but today act as a marine reserve for sea birds, fur seals and penguins. - Community Wine Reviews
