Lovico Gamza 2015

Suhindol A.O.C., Bulgaria

Lynn scored this wine: 90/100

What a find! If you’ve never tried wine from Bulgaria, make this winery your first. The grapes from the wine region of Gamza Suhindol are traditionally Bordeaux in style - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and sometimes Syrah. Brilliant garnet red in the glass, aromas of blackberry, blueberry, white pepper and nutmeg, that carry through to a spicy blueberry finish. Wonderful paired with tomato sauce pastas. Enjoy now or lay down for a few more years. Tasted Oct 2019.
