Gorgeous! 100% Plavac Mali 2016 was a very good growing and harvest year in this region. Medium ruby colour with vibrant notes of blackberry, blueberry, red plum and granite. Aged in 50% new and used barrels for 18 months. Flavours are echoed from the bouquet ?? with pomegranate and smoky charcoal and a blend of fresh thyme and dried herbs. Robust in the body - Medium plus, almost full with a medium finish and lingering silky tannins. A great partner to some rosemary encrusted roast beef. 91 points

100% Plavac Mali from the official Croatian DOP region of Dingac. One half of this is aged and undergoes fermentation in a concrete vat and overall there is two years spent in barrel. A complex bouquet shown here with stewed strawberries, raspberries and light plum chutney. Fresh herbal touches of bay leaves and sage add a savoury component with stony minerals. Very fruity with red berries, pomegranate and cherry sweetness at the back with a crisp finish of minerals lingering, delightfully on the palate. This will be a good conversation wine to enjoy with some flavour smoked meat apps and full bodied cheeses. 91 points

An engaging second blend of Malvasia (70%) and Chardonnay (30%) with aromas of apricot, peaches and fennel. Flavours show baked pears and apples. Malolactic fermentation reveals itself with some soft caramel and tropical fruit notes. Creamy with a splash of seaside salinity continuing into the back. Good with seared scallops and octopus. 90 points

From the beautiful Saints Hills Winery. A premium “first blend” of Malvasia (70%) and Chardonnay (30%) this is a white wine from Saint Hills winery in Croatia. Aging for 1 year in wooden barrels then in the bottle before release. Aromas are refined showing green apple, grapefruit citrus and olives with flavours echoing much of this, accompanied with pear skins and granite rock elements. Mouthwatering crisp acidity with a juicy lip smacking pear infused fruit lingering into the finish. Pair with fresh herbed fish or cheese bites. 90 points

This one is crafted from 100% Pošip from the beautiful Croatian Dalmatian Coast. From the Kortula region. Quite aromatic - yellow apples, pears, white flowers, banana and delicate fresh herbs. A well refined Posip with a crisp mineral touch at the back well into the finish. Well balanced Medium plus acidity, with a light body and finish. An easy drinking sipper to accompany a variety of foods from chicken wings, veggies and dips to pork dumplings. 89 points
