A crisp Torrontes from the Salta region of Argentina. The Zuccardi winery, 'Serie A’ offers an appealing perfume of typical Torrontes floral elements. A bouquet of fresh tulips, daffodils and white blossoms with a bevy of tropical fruit on the nose - papaya, kiwi, pineapple and even mango. Flavours show zesty green apple, grapefruit citrus, wet gravel and a splash of olive brine persisting on the light finish. Brisk acidity and dry with only with only 2g/L of residual sugar this is a perfect food wine to pair with creamy chicken and mushroom dishes. Cheers! - tasted December 2020

Mandarin and strawberry with watermelon and pink grapefruit citrus on the tongue. Dry and very light with hints of crushed stone. An excellent value for this Rhone Rose from the Ventoux region. Pair with a cheese fondue. Enjoy!

The Piedmonte Wine Project is the brain-child of Alberto Cordero di Montezemolo. (Cordero di Montezemolo) This passionate side project and endeavour features wines made from rare indigenous grapes that showcase Piedmonts’ wine characteristics. This grape variety Asinel, pronounced “Ah-zee-nel” in Piemont has two meanings, both “grape” and “donkey” as is illustrated by the donkey image on the label. Aromas are elegant with grapefruit, lemon and elements of fruity sweet candied lemon. Flavours show crisp citrus, spearmint and lemon meringue with a delectable following of stony salinity. Clean and crisp with a few herbal notes at the back and mineral tones on the finish. Off dry with well integrated acidity. A perfect pairing for salty cured meats and olives.

If you’re looking for that zesty splash that comes with a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but would like to support local - try this Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A. Sauvignon Blanc from Burnt Ship Bay! Pale lemon coloured with aromas of pineapple, mango and fresh cilantro. Flavours reveal pomelo citrus, peach, and a touch of crisp sugar snap pea sweetness at the back. Dry with 5g/L of residual sugar, that carries with it a zingy mouthfeel. An awesome accompaniment with grilled herbed Tilapia. Cheers!

This Charles Smith Washington State Merlot truly lives up to its name. Devilishly velvet with plum, cassis chocolate sweet smoke and toasted cedar. Flavours show sweet berries, blueberry compote, and really quite "velvety" tannins. Medium acidity that balances nicely. Against the dark cherry and medium bodied finish. A great pairing for herbed pork or steak medallions and mushrooms. - Tasted November 2020
