Pam scored this wine: 89/100

Very pale straw with a fruit forward nose of peach, some tropical fruit and flint. On the palate it has Crisp acidity, medium body with white tree fruit like pear and peaches with vanilla. Still very bright and refreshing however I find the high alcohol content to be a little hot on the finish and heavy on the head.

Bright red fruit on the nose 20 years later show the freshness and longevity of this wine. Deep ruby in the core with a garnet edge. Cassis, cherry, tobacco leaf, leather and vanilla on the nose. The wine evolves with every swirl with more complexity a d tertiary earthy notes. The palate is fresh with the same flavours as the nose, highlighting cassis, leather, some herbaceous notes and a bit of mushroom. The rich full bodied wine has silky tannins and a dry finish. Balanced acidity carries a long finish. Devine!

The deep bright ruby to the rim doesn’t give away the 15 yrs of ageing. The nose is bright and fruit forward with no oxidation. Red berry fruit integrating with leather and mushrooms go from the nose to the palate. As Pommard is a fuller bodied Burgundy, this lives up to more tannin. Still smooth with good acidic balance and a long finish with cranberry, leather and smoke. This could age even longer, to my surprise. Was a great match with Mushroom Barley Risotto. Would be fantastic with duck or lamb.

Garnet red fading on the edges. With 20 yrs of ageing this wine’s nose is still fruit forward with raspberry, cherry and red fruit. Leather and some cocoa lifts out of the glass. Cherry, leather, subtle spice and vanilla on the palate Smooth integrated tannins have become silky. Looking for the elusive rose petal through all the tertiary aromas and flavours. Balanced acidity keeps this wine lively and elegant. Long dry finish with a delicious linger. Fantastic!

Golden yellow with signs of oxidation. Closed nose but opens up to caramel, vanilla, pear and peaches. Still had vibrant acidity on the palate even if it starting to get a little age oxidation. Integrated oak on the palate that wavers between the nose of caramel and vanilla to an almost Sprite/7up lemon lime (without the sweetness). Long finish.
