Pamela scored this wine: 88/100

Big and plush, plummy, bing cherry, soft spice, burnt caramel and a toasty-oakiness (not overplayed though). Nicely balanced. Perfect steak wine. Tasted Sept 2020

Always interesting to try odd grape varieties - this wine made from mostly Negrette, plus some Syrah, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc. Full-on black cherry, plum, savoury and a bit stemmy with grainy tannins in a nice rustic way. Too polished and it would be phoney. Great with juicy lamb or beef burgers. Tasted Sept 2020.

Dark garnet. Rich raspberry, black currant nose with a whiff of smoke, mint, leather and spice. Savoury, red and black currant, sharp raspberry and spice palate with velvety texture and some serious alcohol and acidity. Pair with aged cheese, rich, hearty beef or vegetarian main courses. Tasted Sept 2020

This could be a regular cellar-stocker. Quite full-bodied and harmonious with plush ripe berry, cherry cola, leather, spice, bitter chocolate and damp earth notes. A little puckering acidity enlivens the flavours and is excellent at helping this wine hold up to fairly rich dishes. Very enjoyable! Pair with lamb, burgers, salami and the like. Tasted August 2020.

Lovely, voluptuous Amarone at a great price point! This one had all the juicy-steak-lovers in my "bubble" gushing with adoration! Velvety, plummy, dark jammy berry, soft spice, silky tannins and just a splash of piquant acidity. Not quite a Ferrari, but a fab open-top Alpha Romeo nonetheless! Tasted August 2020
