Pamela scored this wine: 89/100

Edgy, with ripe berry fruit aromas and flavour up front; smoky spice, tongue-crushing tannins and head-clearing alcohol - big and brash. Decant now and drink with meat or save for next summer's barbecue! Tasted January 2021

Enticing pale golden colour. Fabulous nose of ripe yellow apple, pear, honey, citrus and a hint of spice. Plush and creamy on the palate - more ripe fruit and a nice tart zing of lemon acidity with a lingering fruity-spice finish - just splendid! This would be great with all sorts of vegetarian dishes. Tasted Dec 2020

Big and plush, plummy, bing cherry, soft spice, burnt caramel and a toasty-oakiness (not overplayed though). Nicely balanced. Perfect steak wine. Tasted Sept 2020

Château Bellevue La Forêt 2018

Pamela scored this wine: 87/100

Always interesting to try odd grape varieties - this wine made from mostly Negrette, plus some Syrah, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc. Full-on black cherry, plum, savoury and a bit stemmy with grainy tannins in a nice rustic way. Too polished and it would be phoney. Great with juicy lamb or beef burgers. Tasted Sept 2020.

Wingfield Vineyard Unfiltered

Pamela scored this wine: 90/100

Dark garnet. Rich raspberry, black currant nose with a whiff of smoke, mint, leather and spice. Savoury, red and black currant, sharp raspberry and spice palate with velvety texture and some serious alcohol and acidity. Pair with aged cheese, rich, hearty beef or vegetarian main courses. Tasted Sept 2020
