Australian dessert wines are often referred to as "stickies" however, there's nothing cloying about this wine and the only aspect that stickie is the memory of its taste. First Press James Ewart Cabernet Sauvignon 2011, Napa Valley, California, United States: Delicato Family Vineyards produce this full-bodied with classic aromas of cassis and blackcurrant. Nicely balanced oak. Although it's robust, it's not heavy. Attractive wisps of hickory smoke on the finish along with cassis and blackcurrant. This is a good value for Napa Valley cabernet. Tedeschi Capitel Nicalò Appassimento Valpolicella Superiore 2012, Veneto D.O.C.G., Italy: A full-bodied juicy red wine with lots of heft and mouth-filling flavour. Mr. Berrouet is one of the most famous winemakers and is involved in every facet of the process from vineyard to wine. What an incredible wine for this price!
