This is what big Rhone Valley red wines from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region are all about! Superb, luxurious, rich liquid velvet. Encase yourself in this wine and we’ll never see you again. Gorgeously ripe blackberries, plums and black raspberry liqueur aromas and flavours. This one will keep a long time in the cellar … if you can wait. Worth laying down a case for a child or grandchild born in 2012. Pair with roast beef.

Food pairings: rare and juicy beef tenderloin, hamburgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Rich in texture with flavours of black currant, black raspberry, warming spices, lavender, and the earthy combination of boxwood, thyme, and black soil, this wine's velvety tannins, balancing acidity, and long length on the palate make it an outstanding example of this Cru.
Pair with your traditional turkey feast, or rich beef stews.
Drink now or cellar through 2019.
Date tasted: November 2014.
Brought to us by Michel Lucien, Prop.-Récolt., this Rhone Valley red wine is solid for the 2012 vintage. - Community Wine Reviews
