Natalie's Score: 90/100

Complex, full-bodied yet subtle Italian red wine. Gorgeous aromas of dried black cherry, cedar, smoke, fleshy blackberries from an iconic producer. This full-bodied red wine is the second wine to Frescobaldi’s flagship label Luce. It's a blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and it was aged for 1 year in French barriques. Decant for 1 hour and you're ready to go! The grapes are sourced from the same vineyards as Luce. Pair this wine with prime rib.

Food pairings: pepper steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Lucente is Luce's second wine, the flanker brand if you will. The grapes are sourced from the same vineyards as Luce and aged in oak barriques in the winery at Montalcino.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
