Stunningly great value! So juicy and savoury, lip-smackingly delicious. Lusciously rich and velvet-textured with fleshy sweetly ripe black plums in this classic Chilean red wine. The wine is matured in both American and French barrels for 8 months. Mocha-chocolate finish. Pair with grilled chicken.

A fragrant Carmenere from Chile's Maipo Valley. Full-bodied with delicious flavours of ripe and dark fruit, herbal and spicy notes- excellent balance and smooth tannins-lingering spicy mocha finish. Pair with your next prime rib or roast lamb to kick things up a notch. Fantastic value.

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of black cherry, cassis, ink, cedar and chocolate. It is full bodied with well balanced acidity and tannins with flavours of cooked red fruit and black pepper. This will pair nicely with grilled red meats. Tasted on March 11, 2018.

Rich and earthy. An evolving bouquet featuring, cassis, blackcurrant, dried fruit, baking spice, wine tipped cigars and leather. Flavours are big, juicy and very fruit forward. Dark plum, cherry compote, milk chocolate and prunes. Cayenne pepper heat at the back. Medium plus acidity, tannins and body with a suede-like finish. This Chilean Carmenere opens up with some plum and slightly herbaceous notes on the nose. The plum takes over on the palate, with some vanilla coming through on the finish. While I wansn’t too impressed by the nose, the wine drinks quite pleasantly.

The mouthfeel is quite full, round an juicy. Tannins are subtle and acidity is mild. A nice, easy to drink wine; certainly a crowd pleaser.

Fantastic value for this dry, lush and juicy, full-bodied Chilean Carmenère form the Maipo Valley. Viña Tarapacá Gran Reserva (2015) is a savoury, ripe black plum and mocha on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
