Xoxo Mini Rosé

Ontario, Canada

Melanie scored this wine: 86/100

Available in a compact juice-box type container, perfect for camping or a picnic. On the nose, concentrated ripe strawberry, cantaloupe, and hazelnut notes. On the palate, light bodied and off-dry with balanced acidity and notes of melon, marzipan, field strawberry, cranberry and clementine. Enjoy on its own, with appetizers or with light summer fare.

Xoxo Botanicals Strawberry Hibiscus

Melanie scored this wine: 84/100

A light and simple spritzer perfect for a hot summer day. Aromas of field strawberry and fragrant hibiscus that follows through on the palate with just a touch of sweetness. Enjoyable on its own or mixed with other spirits to add depth to mixed drinks. I experimented with my spritzer and added gin, a few splashes of lime, ginger infused simple syrup, and fresh strawberries. The end-result was nice and remained light.

Melanie scored this wine: 85/100

Available in a sleek compact can, a light and refreshing beverage that is reminiscent of flavoured bubbly water, but with a touch of sweetness and tang. Not too sweet, the peach and orange blossom notes are present on both the nose and palate. A perfect light drink for a hot summer day.

Melanie scored this wine: 89/100

Subtle peach and red apple notes with saline minerality, lemon, grilled pineapple, caramel, delicate floral notes and hints of oak. Medium bodied and dry on the palate with fresh acidity and notes of green apple, lemon, saline, and a touch hazelnut. The wine warms the soul on a chilly day and the flavours linger. Pair with: grilled pork chops, or salmon grilled on a cedar plank. Tasted December 2021

Melanie scored this wine: 90/100

A rich golden coloured icewine that is fragrant on the nose with delicious notes of apricot, honey, bruised apple, candied pineapple, fruitcake, lemon, orange marmalade, and almond. The palate follows the nose in the form of a tangy and sweet, luxurious nectar. Concentrated notes of apricot, tart lemon, orange marmalade, honey, and hazelnut. The flavours linger. Food pairing: fruit custard pie, or try with a cheese platter that includes Roquefort or Stilton, hazelnut and dried fruit. Tasted December 2021

Unusual Wine Experience

Retsina, the greek white wine that smells and tastes like pine.

Current Fav Wine

I love the tartness often associated with cool climate wines. Currently, I am loving Ontario wines, especially Pinot Noir, Cab Franc, and dry Riesling. I have a soft spot for Italian wine. I also love a wide range of sparkling wines, especially those made using the Champenoise method.
