Melanie scored this wine: 91/100

On the nose, ripe strawberry and cherry notes, violet, decomposing autumn leaves, dark brown sugar, earthy beets, leather, baking spice, cocoa, vanilla bean, menthol and black pepper. Full bodied on the palate with smooth tannins. Black cherry and plum flavours with dark roasted cocoa notes and wood smoke seeping through. The flavours linger. Pair with barbecued steak. Tasted Aug 2020

Yum! A great example of the vibrant, high quality Riesling we make in Ontario. Fresh on the nose with aromas of Granny Smith apple, peach, lime, and almond, with saline and mineral undertones. Medium bodied and oh so pleasant on the palate. It packs a punch with concentrated tart green apple and lemon notes, along with subtle peach, almond and just a very slight perceived sweetness. Beautiful! Pair with roasted pork, curries, or with Stilton cheese.

Visually, this Sauvignon Blanc is stunningly bright. Fragrant on the nose with aromas of peach, grapefruit, lychee, floral notes, and freshly cut grass with a touch of saline. Medium-bodied and dry, this wine is present on the palate. In terms of flavours, it has lemon and pomelo notes with gentle wood and saline notes coming through. Tasted Aug 2020. Pair with herbed-crusted chicken or with fried zucchini.

Retsina, the greek white wine that smells and tastes like pine.

Current Fav Wine

I love the tartness often associated with cool climate wines. Currently, I am loving Ontario wines, especially Pinot Noir and dry Riesling. I have a soft spot for Italian wine. I also love a wide range of sparkling wines, especially those made using the Champenoise method.
