Jennifer Havers WSET Level 3

Jennifer scored this wine: 90/100

Lovely, with lots of potential for aging. Aromas of cherry, plum, and blackberry, with hints of smoke, cigar box, and warm, spicy hints. Full bodied, with young, firm tannins that smooth out after 30-45 minutes decanting. Fruit notes on the palate are rich and robust, with pruney plum, and dark cherry notes. There is also more drying hints of graphite, smoke, and spice. Finish is quite lengthy. Enjoy this with a grilled steak and consider aging for 5+ years.

Luxurious, smooth and flavourful. Aromas of dark berries, violets, smoke, spice and a warm, earthy note. Full bodied, soft and smooth on the palate, with medium acidity, rounded berry notes, and a lengthy, powerful finish, complete with hints of spice, smoke and a lovely floral hint. Beautifully balanced. Savour and enjoy on its own or with a special dinner, maybe prime rib or roasted leg of lamb.

Lovely and showing some maturity but also lots of freshness. Aromas of cherry, raspberry and cranberry, with notes of evergreen, cloves, and smoke. Full bodied, smooth on the palate, with medium acidity, bright berry notes, and smoky leather and bramble notes on the palate. The finish is lengthy. Enjoy this wine for the next 5-8 years.

Jennifer scored this wine: 90/100

Fun fact: Wakefield wines have a cool sensor scale on the label that ensures you know the correct temperature to drink your wine. Aromas of lemon and lime with a hint of apple and stony mineral hints. Light bodied on the palate, with bright acidity, fresh, vibrant citrus, and a crisp, dry finish. Perfect wine to accompany any seafood.
