Jennifer scored this wine: 89/100

Tasted in 2020. Still a lot of primary fruit aroma including red cherry and currant, along with some dried herbs, eucalyptus, graphite and smoke. Full bodied on the palate, tannins are still present but likely softened over time. Fruit is still quite fresh with some dried, herbaceous notes and oak and smoke on the finish. Still tasting great but i would drink in the next year or two if you do like that ripe fruit. Enjoy with grilled meats.

Jennifer scored this wine: 94/100

This is a robust and powerful wine with a cult following. Primarily Carmenere (92%) and Petit Vedot (8%), this wine lives up to its reputation with robust and rounded blackberry, plum, and black currant, with some slight herbal notes, as well as hints of mocha and smoke. Full bodied, smooth and powerful, with smooth tannins, rich, ripe fruit on the palalte, and an herbaceous, smoky finish, with more of that mocha hint carrying through. Enjoy with a grilled steak.

Aromas of plum and black currant, with hints of mocha, vanilla and warm spice. Full bodied on the palate, with soft tannins, and a plush, velvety texture. Fruit on the palate is rich and ripe, with more mocha and a hint of spice on the finish. Enjoy with Sunday roast beef.
