A full bodied Spanish wine from the Navarra region, combining Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes.
Aromas of black pepper, leather, blackberries and anise, that carry through a peppery finish, velvety tannins, and a long dark fruit finish.
Wonderful with charcuterie boards.
Tasted March 2018.

For a wine that is almost 10 years old there is still plenty of life left in this Cabernet, Tempranillo and Merlot blend from Navarra, Spain. Aromas of smoke, leather and dark fruit. Flavours of blackberry with tannins that have started to smooth out. I see this wine as being in its prime next year! Pair with meats from the bbq and roast beef. Tasted March 11, 2018.

Bodega Otazu sits on a 12th-Century estate. The property includes an art gallery and a winery museum as well as a remarkable French-style cellar that dates from 1840. Otazu Reserva Clásico (2009) is a robust red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Merlot.
