Reddish brick brown in colour. Cedar and hint of chocolate on the nose. Astringent tannins and spice on the palate make me wonder if I should have waited another year, but we were eager to open for a special occasion. Long finish. Pair this one with food! A lovely steak or roast would hold up to the structure of the wine. Great gift for long-term storage (e.g. wedding gift to be opened on 3-5 year anniversary).

Blackberry, cherry and a hint of smoke on the nose. Flavours of vanilla, cedar and spice. Paired well with my roast beef, potato and brussel sprout dinner. Def pair this one with food.

Notes of apple and lime. Mouth watering acidity with zesty and mineral note that would pair well with grilled seafood or sipping on a hot summer day.

Beautiful bouquet with cherry and herb notes. Medium bodied with medium tannins and balanced acidity. Would pair this one with some BBQ ribs or chicken or sip on its own in the bathtub.on a cold winter's night.

Delicious bouquet of apple and a hint of lemon and honey. Mouth watering acidity dancing on your taste buds, medium to long finish. Would be great to pair with turkey!
Shiraz or CabSauv from Black Opal Winery. Can't get the wine in Ontario, but my aunt always set a bottle aside for me when I'd come visit her! Great memories!
Probably a sip of my mom's sauvignon blanc when I was in my late teens.
A wine tasting class that paired different wines with potato chips.
I'm branching out from my usual CabSauv and Shiraz and exploring Zinfandel and CabMerlot wines.
