A staggeringly great value for full-bodied Australian chardonnay. The grapes for this wine are sourced from the cool climate regions of the Padthaway and Adelaide Hills, both southern regions so in this southern hemisphere that means cool climate fruit freshness. This wine is mouth-filling without being hey, and there's some faint buttery notes from 30% malolactic fermentation, but its subtle. Pair with value-priced wine with roast chicken or seafood in a ream sauce.

This pale chardonnay has lovely floral notes. Aged in French oak barrels it has a nice balance of light oak, citrus, apple with buttery notes. It would be wonderful as a summer sipping wine or paired with roast chicken.

A bright nose on this Chardonnay with tropical fruit, slight citrus, vanilla and buttered toast/oak. An intensely fruity palate with lots of ripe pineapple and citrus, concentrated flavours without being heavy. Yummy citrus and butterscotch finish. If there could be a candy tasting like this, it would be a hit!

March 3, 2014: Nose shows vanilla, hazelnut, ripe apple, melon and tropical notes. Creamy on the palate with apple, peach and some pineapple along with lemon citrus, vanilla and butterscotch on a long finish. Oak is well handled without being overdone. A very good value Chard to sip on or have around the table with roast chicken or butternut squash soup.

A gentle crush and ferment in French oak barrels makes this cool climate Chardonnay a great wine for both sipping and with food. Intense fruit, light oak with nice acidity. There is some malolactic that gives mid palate texture. A good value wine.

Pair with a variety of dishes, but particularly great with creamy pasta dishes.

Popcorn with extra butter please! A great balance of orchard fruit, minerality and butterscotch flavours. At first glance that buttered popcorn and flinty aromas overpowered the glass, but with a swirl and a sip, became more subdued. Pleasant acidity, medium body and a refreshing mouthfeel with an oily texture. Honeyed dew melon and lemon linger on the palate giving this wine a decently long finish.

This Chardonnay has a balanced nose of buttered toast and nice bright citrus. There are also hints of caramel apples, vanilla and melon. Citrus and oak are harmonious on the palate, each substantial without overwhelming the other. Nice bright acidity and medium bodied with a medium finish. Perfect wine for roasted chicken.

Aromas of yellow apple with subtle marshmallow and caramel. A soft apple taste with good acidity and a soft, smooth mouth-feel with a little oiliness. This is made with only French oak, so don't let the oak-y descriptions fool you, as they're much more subtle than a Californian Chardonnay.

You can count on the Yellow Label Chardonnay to deliver consistent quality year after year. Tasty baked apples, vanilla, brioche, with a creamy mouthfeel and a baked bread and Golden apple finish. Classic oaked Aussie Chard - oak spice, vanilla, burnt caramel are the dominant aromas. Creamy, buttery, pear, peach, tropical fruit, spice and fairly high alcohol on palate leading to a buttery finish. Chicken or scallops in a cream sauce would be a heavenly match.
