Rombauer Zinfandel 2016, California, United States: The 2016 vintage of this robust, smooth Zinfandel also has a splash (6%) of Petite Sirah grapes. Aromas of fleshy ripe black and purple plums, dark spice, blueberries and smoke. Pair with barbecued ribs. Dessert Wine

United Stars Kindzmarauli 2017, Kakheti, Georgia: The wine is both savoury and sweet with ripe red berry fruit. Great for meaty dishes, mild beef curries with a touch of sweetness and spice. This Georgian late-harvest wine is made from the country's indigenous Saperavi grape, whose name means "paint dye" due to its naturally dark colour. The "Kindzmarauli" designation means this wine is of high quality and is naturally semi-sweet. Lightly chill and pour with blue-veined cheeses. Kindzmarauli food pairings: sweet and warm curry dishes, spicy dark chocolate, chocolate covered ginger.
