Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A good value Tuscan blend with the 10% Merlot adding cherry and mulberry tones and some polish to the wine. A long satisfying finish with dusty cherry and blueberry muffin. Try it with rosemary and garlic roasted lamb @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A Sangiovese/Merlot blend from Tuscany, this medium-garnet wine has aromas of cherries and dark berries. The tannins are still firm so this wine can be still aged more. Tomato sauce-based dishes and beef will pair well.
From the Tuscany wine region, Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo 2016 is so pleasant to nose, opens up with an earthy, woodsy nose followed by dark cherry and ripe blueberry flavours on the palate. Produced from mostly Sangiovese with a thimble of Merlot to smooth it over. Tannins are structured and there is zesty acidity for food. Pair with grilled smoky pork ribs. - Community Wine Reviews
