Smoky blueberries, espresso, chocolate and clove spice on the nose, this Malbec is juicy, full-bodied with ripe dark berry fruit and dark chocolate flavours on the palate with bright acidity for food. Tannins are smooth and well-integrated.

Malbec food pairings: venison filet mignon with red wine gravy, grilled bison strip steaks, goose and duck sausage cassoulet.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Chocolate covered espresso beans with a perfumed violet florality and wafts of fresh ink. Moreishly delicious as a good Malbec so often is. Makes you want to have another sip....and another. Enjoy with a chilli and bacon crumbed mac 'n cheese @wrightwineblog
Viña Cobos Bramare 2015 Malbec is robust and concentrated with dark berry flavours, dark chocolate, espresso, baking spice and smoky flavours on the palate. Unfined and unfiltered the wine was aged 18 months in French and American oak barrels. Enjoy it with a grilled steak. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
