J. Lohr Highlands Bench Pinot Noir 2013, Santa Lucia Highlands, California, United States: Not nearly as sweet as I expected given the usual style of this winery. The oak isn't heavy either, which is nice. This medium-bodied Pinot Noir offers aromas of ripe cherry and smoke. It's supple and smooth. Pair with veal.
Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled lamb chops, grilled New York strip loin, hard cheese, braised pork shanks, veal chops. Drink: 2018 - 2022 551572 14.7% XD 750 mL $54.95 Score: 89/100. October 2018. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
