A lovely, silky Old World Burgundian Pinot Noir with aromas of fresh earth, tart dark cherry. Medium-bodied, smooth and supple. The name of this wine "Beaurepaire" is French for "beautiful lair" and is a nod to the local story about this winery that was once a secret meeting place for young people in love. The 2015 Santenay would pair beautifully with game dishes and veal.

Food pairings: roast, stuffed breast of veal, chicken Kiev, roast leg of lamb.

Roux Pere & Fils Beaurepaire (2015) is a Premier Cru Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir from the Burgundy wine region. The name Beaurepaire means "beautiful lair" and refers to the local legend that this picturesque domaine was once a favourite rendezvous for young couples. Drink now and for the next 15 years with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
