Not nearly as sweet as I expected given the usual style of this winery. The oak isn't heavy either, which is nice. This medium-bodied Pinot Noir offers aromas of ripe cherry and smoke. It's supple and smooth. Pair with veal.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled lamb chops, grilled New York strip loin, hard cheese, braised pork shanks, veal chops.

J. Lohr Highlands Bench (2013) is a ripe and plushy Pinot Noir with fresh red berries, rose petals and a lingering vanilla and spice finish. Excellent PN from the Santa Lucia Highlands in California from an excellent producer. - Community Wine Reviews
