Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

100% Chardonnay grape variety grown on slopes on the northern border of Beaujolais, with predominantly chalky soils. Oaky buttery taste on the nose, followed by citrus notes with pears and fresh herbs. Medium bodied, creamy texture with a good amount of minerality on the palate, and an acidic lingering finish. Finessed wine, a bit shy on the first sip, let it open up a bit. Still drinks young, could easily age for another 5-7 years to achieve peak richness and flavour complexity. Should be kept in the cellar until ready. Very good for its price point.
Terres Secretes from Saint Veran in the Burgundy wine region is a vibrant Chardonnay. Saint-Véran lies to the north and south of Pouilly-Fuissé and this Chard is so lemony with ripe stone fruit white pear and spice flavours on the palate - a touch of vanilla as well with a mineral streak running through it. Really lovely and complex Chardonnay and a perfect pairing to poached salmon steaks in a white wine sauce. This vintage was awarded Gold in the Concours de Vins Macon, 2017. - Community Wine Reviews
