The 2011 vintage of this robust Bordeaux red wine from Cantemerle is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes. Tannic with aroma of black fruit and toasty oak. Decant 1-2 hours and pair with a rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I've always been such a fan of Cantemerle. It is a great value 5th growth from the Haut Médoc. The 2011 is elegant and polished showing finesse rather than brute force. A balanced and elegant wine with delicate floral notes, and some black fruit. Perfectly smooth tannins. Would go perfectly with a classic French onion soup. @wrightwineblog
Château Cantemerle 2011 is a fifth cru medium-bodied red Bordeaux blend from the Haut-Médoc. Deep ruby in the glass, this wine is elegant with blue florals, ripe blueberry, raspberry and mulberry flavours on the palate. Drink now and for the next five years. Pair with a grilled filet mignon. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
