Freemark Abbey Chardonnay 2015, Napa Valley, California, United States: Rich, unctuous and viscous Californian Chardonnay from the heart of Napa Valley. This is such a well-known (and respected) winery. Aromas of toasty oak, pear and smoke. There's no secondary (malolactic) fermentation to preserve the fresh acidity which is nicely balancing.
