Canadian Wine Sites: New Ratings Worth Toasting

Update: As of December 3, 2013, our site has moved up in its ranking from 760 to 608 (the lower the number, the closer to the top), continuing to be the only Canadian wine site with more traffic than the LCBO, SAQ, BCLDB and other liquor stores in the country.Alexa Nov 18August 22, 2013: Our team is thrilled with the new rankings for Canadian wine sites from Alexa, the leading provider of web metrics that measures and rates Canadian site traffic and audience engagement.

Alexa is considered the Nielsen ratings for the digital world, and has been quoted frequently by those in the wine industry as well as in other industries as a benchmark for ranking web sites. (Yes, Google is god, and we worship Google Analytics, but Google does not provide comparative rankings of web sites across an industry or sector.)

According to Alexa’s rankings as of August 22, only one wine review site has higher traffic than the LCBO, BCLDB and all other liquor board sites in the country in terms of Canadian traffic. A toast to the most active wine review team in the country as well as to the most passionate wine community: here’s to you!

Cheers,
Natalie

What’s also nifty is the time spent on the site, almost 17 minutes per visit …
we do love our wines: reading about them, talking about them,
and of course, drinking them!

Of course, digital doesn’t just mean a web site anymore, join us on Canada’s largest social media wine community (Twitter, Facebook) and mobile apps on all three major platforms. Cheers!
