2011 Loosen Bros. Dr. L Riesling, Mosel, Germany

2007 Monte Ory Crianza, Navarra, Spain

An excellent price for this juicy, full-bodied, savoury red bursting with smoky dark red fruit. Pair with: lighter red meats such as veal tenderloin. Drink: 2012-2015.  292011  13.5%  XD  750 mL  $13.95  Score: 88/100. Best Value Red Wine

2009 Henri De Villamont Les Évocelles Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy, France

In real estate it’s location, location, location. In wine, it’s increasingly texture, texture, texture. This feels like sliding on a cool silk dress over a sun-warmed body, head first down to angles. It brushes all the senses lightly, teasing and drawing you back to the glass. Satin cherries, some spice and medium- to full weight though never heavy or chafing. Pair with: stuffed veal, pork tenderloin. Drink: 2012-2018.  279042  13.5%  XD  750 mL  $42.95  Score: 95/100. Top Rated Red Wine

 La Marca Prosecco, Veneto, Italy

An excellent price for this crisp and refreshing bubbly! Lime-grapefruit notes with a clean, dry finish.  287987  12.5%  XD  750 mL  $17.95  Score: 87/100. Best Value Sparkling Wine

2003 Roederer Estate L’ermitage Brut Sparkling Wine, Anderson Valley, California

Always a spectacular bubbly: this one is no exception. I find it also over-delivers well above its price point in complexity, depth, quality and overall taste. Superb! Drink: 2012-2016.  183392  12%  D  750 mL  $54.95  Score: 95/100. Top Rated Sparkling Wine

Torres Floralis Oro Moscatel, Spain

A pure apricot richness unfolds on your palate. Lovely layers of ripe tree fruit and peach preserves. Wonderful after-dinner dessert wine. Drink: 2012-2016.  642173  15%  MS  500 mL  $16.95  Score: 90/100. Best Value Dessert Wine

2008 Inniskillin Riesling Icewine, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario

Spectacular! I love the combination of toffeed richness and zesty effervescence. This is a real treat to try this holiday if you’ve never done so (and even if you have). Pair with: crème brûlée. Drink: 2008-2020.  558288  13%  S  375 mL  $69.95  Score: 93/100. Top Rated Dessert Wine.
