A terrific strawberry/hibiscus-flavoured wine! So pretty and vibrant with notes of fresh strawberries, field berries and hibiscus. Lovely on it's own as a chilled aperitif or create your own cocktail.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Light and refreshing, this really reminder me of summer. Sweet on the palate and quite flavourful, the hibiscus balances nicely with the strawberry notes. Enjoy well chilled, and I also made this into a fun cocktail with some gin, lemon bitters, and topped with sparkling lemonade.
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Juicy, flavourful, sweet, low alcohol strawberry flavoured fruit wine. Along with the juicy strawberry notes there is a hint of hibiscus. The wine is soft in the mouth with a slight spritz. While this will be a summer pleasant sipper on its own I think it really comes into its own when combined with muddled strawberries, basil leaves, fresh lime and served over ice. Switch out the basil for fresh mint to make another pleasing patio drink.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

For those looking to limit alcohol intake, or just taste summer in your glass, these fun and fruity wine cocktails from XOXO Peller Estates are sure to delight.
Smells like July 1st in a glass, when freshly picked Ontario strawberries and the first lush blooms from the garden mix in the air. A lovely light fizz makes this a perfect cocktail to be enjoyed over ice, or add some more sparkling water and vodka for a little extra kick!
Be sure to try their other flavours, including Raspberry Rhubarb and Peach Orange Blossom.
Tasted February 2021.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This creation from XOXO Wine featured attractive salmon and orange tones that ushered in fresh, clean, pleasing aromas and flavours centred on strawberry and hibiscus. Hints of sweetness added to this light bodied flavoured wine’s refreshing experience. Keep chilled for maximum enjoyment, especially when the outdoor temperature is hot.

Sip this one by the glass and serve as a substitute for cranberry juice in a modified cosmopolitan. Enjoy.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

A light and refreshing strawberry fruit flavoured wine with a hint of spritz. From Peller Estates’ XOXO line. Low in alcohol at only 6% ABV The Botanicals are new and offer elements of tartness and earthiness to balance the sweetness. In this case, an element of Hibiscus flowers adds a fun dimension against the strawberry; both on the nose and in taste. This can be easily elevated, shake over ice with an ounce of vodka and garnish with a strawberry for a fun fizzy refreshment, or simply chill and add ice. Cheers!
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Light, freshening and off-dry with notes of berry and hibiscus. So pretty in the glass- and check out the artistic bottle label! Have some fun with this one- add some sparkling water for a spritzer on a hot summer day, or experiment to create your own signature cocktail!
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

XOXO Botanicals delivers an exciting explosion of fresh fruit such as Raspberry Rhubarb, Peach Orange Blossom, and Strawberry Hibiscus. These sippers will be crowd-pleasers during hot summer days, due to their freshness, delicate effervescence and all natural flavors. The fruity taste, infused with light acidity, will tickle your palate. The finish is short, but so delicious; great for mixing with fresh fruit and great friends. Enjoy.
Pam Hatton rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

A light refreshing slightly sweet fruit flavoured wine. Light strawberry nose and flavours with a bit of hibiscus nose and flavours keeping the finish drier. As a low alcohol beverage, it makes a great base for sangria, cocktails or a summer sipper when you want something light. Try pouring it over a bowl of ripe strawberries.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

A light and simple spritzer perfect for a hot summer day. Aromas of field strawberry and fragrant hibiscus that follows through on the palate with just a touch of sweetness. Enjoyable on its own or mixed with other spirits to add depth to mixed drinks. I experimented with my spritzer and added gin, a few splashes of lime, ginger infused simple syrup, and fresh strawberries. The end-result was nice and remained light.
