Low alcohol, low carb, low sugar, low calorie, low cost! If this is what you are looking for , look no further. Fruit forward with subtle sweet spice notes. Very low tannins, but nice acidity. Easy sipping wine. Nutritional label in the bottle for those who are counting (don’t often see that). Perfect for mid-week movie with bowl of low-fat popcorn! Tasted Feb 2021

From the Peller Estates Family Vineyards, located in the Niagara wine region, the Cabernet Sauvignon Light contains 35% less calories than a regular Cabernet Sauvignon. This original wine delivers aromas of red currant, cranberry, black pepper, wet gravel, leather, toffee and oak. Light-bodied and balanced, the finish is short and dry. Palate: cherry, red currant, dried herbs, clay dust, charcoal and oak. Enjoy.

A lovely alternative to higher alcohol / higher calorie wines, at 8% alcohol by volume and 110 calories per 6 ounce glass. Enjoy as a mid-week sipper or as part of a healthier lifestyle.
Aromas of cranberry, raspberry, and white pepper carry through to a fruity finish.
Low acid and tannins, pairing wonderfully with a variety of salads, baked squash or barbecued portabello mushrooms.
Tasted February 2021.

This is an interesting option for someone looking for a lighter alcohol (8%) wine, as many are usually white varieties. This is a medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of dark berries and a hint of oak and smoke. Quite fruit forward on the palate with medium acidity and light to no tannins. A greatoption for a lower alcohol "weeknight wine".

Lighter and lower in alcohol than most average red wines on the market, this Cabernet Sauvignon from Peller Family Vineyards offers fruit forward elements of cherry, black plum and baking spice. Light bodied, with balanced fine acidity, subtle tannins and lingering blackberry fruit notes on the finish. This is an ideal sipper if you want something flavourful, but not as full bodied, heavy or as high in alcohol as others. Enjoy!

In my glass, juicy red fruit aromas - evocative of raspberry and cassis - and shy herbal scents announced a light bodied palate pleasantly accented with red berry flavours, supple tannins and pleasing acidity. This cab sauvignon is just 8% alcohol by volume. Plus, this wine’s bottle displays a big nutrition label that discloses this red’s sugar, carb and calorie content per 188 mls (approximately 6 ounces). Serve with your favourite baked flat bread and mile high nachos. Enjoy.

This deep purple Cabernet Sauvignon is an attractive option for consumers wishing to lower ABV without compromising flavour. A light bodied, dry, balanced wine featuring cherry, strawberry, raspberry and floral aromas and tastes. If left open too long the attractive fruit flavour morphs to include a candied note akin to Jolly Rancher watermelon candy. A nice sipper, that can also pair well with pizza and tomato based pastas.

Sweet red fruit with cherry drop, soy and a bit dusty on the nose. A light and fresh wine with cherry and strawberry on the palate. A little round sweetness in the middle leading to a short dry finish. The low tannins in this wine would make it a good match with meatier fish and light appetizers. A good choice for a summer red.

Feeling like having a red, but the hot humid days of summer are suggesting otherwise?
Here's your solution. A nice well rounded red with soft sweet fruit, and lower alcohol. Low tannins too, so it works with saltier BBQ foods that don't play well with bigger reds.
