Toasty and rich with baked bread on the nose then a lime fresh lift on the palate. Robust yet spritely and light on its feet. Great aperitif or companion to seafood.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Talk about vibrant! Incredible concentration of acid, fine and somewhat aggressive mousse, and virtually no dosage ( brut nature). This means they try to add little to know additional sugar to initiate the secondary fermentation phase - giving bubbles.  It is a hard technique to master.
Pale straw colour.
Aromas of buckwheat honey, green pear, sour green plum, and granny smith.
Flavours of more sour plum, quince, honey, apple juice, and baked brioche.
Riesling has such incredible acid s and mineral concentration, it wouldn't suprise me if this only got better and better over the next 5-7 years.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Vibrant acidity, refreshing crisp mouthfeel, this is an old vine Riesling clone 21B from Kelowna BC. Tart, citrus, slightly pithy aftertaste. Tight fine bubbles. Traditional method vinification yielding a unique sparkling uber dry Riesling. Pair with shellfish, Asian fusion or easily on it's own. @jonsteeves rated 90/100 - tasted May 2016
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Super citrusy, think lemon meringue pie with buttery crust. An abundance of bubbles. Mouthwatering with a long, lemon finish.
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The pale straw colour, the zesty, lime aroma and the bubbly, grapefruit flavour add up to a flavourful package. This would be great served with a brunch or summertime luncheon.
Jane LeFresne rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Aromas of juicy red apple, pink grapefruit, lime, apricot, honey and hints of white floral. Flavours of apple, lime, pink grapefruit. This zippy brut is great on its own or paired with soft cheeses, strawberries and anything brunch related. Think fruit crepes or even eggs benedict.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Loads of frizzante and lime, pepper and toast, this bubbly is mouthfilling, bone-dry and zesty. Great with salty, semi-soft cheeses.
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Sparkling with aromas of yeast, fresh bread, lemon & peach with flavours of frizzy lemon and green apple. This brut can be enjoyed on it own or paired with softer cheeses and green salads.
Bright straw in colour, the wine opens with a persistent, fine bead. Aromas of lemon and
lime with wet stones waft from the glass - fresh and complex. The palate is lush yet holds
great tension with mineral undertones and hints of grapefruit flesh and crisp Granny Smith
apple. A classic Champagne character pairs beautifully alongside what you’d expect from
Tantalus Old Vines Riesling – concentrated flavours and naturally bright acidity.
