A terrific, robust, savoury Niagara sparkling wine. The wine is made by the much respected Tawse Winery in partnership with Blue Rodeo lead singer Jim Cuddy. Aromas of golden apple and brioche. Lovely. Pair with shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

On the nose, this Sparkling Riesling has apple aromas, as well as almond, clementine, and sweet spice. On the palate, it is medium bodied and deliciously zippy with flavours of crisp Granny Smith apple, lemon, clementine, and just a taste of peach. I love this one!

Wine-Food Pairing: Salty appetizers or a light summer salad.

Tasted September 2018
Colin McKone - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Pale straw in colour with aromas of lemon, apple, stone fruit and orange. It is sparkling and medium bodied with mouthwatering acidity. On the palate you get flavours of red apple, peach with some biting citrus. This can be enjoyed in its own and it will also pair well with green salads or seafood. Tasted on September 16, 2018.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is a superb bubbly from Tawse. It brims with lemony acidity, lime zest, unripe stone fruit, green apple, orange blossom, and a faint hint of black currant bud. 92 Points.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Bright and brilliant pale straw. Tart citrus notes, stone fruit and crisp apple. Pairs with almost anything. Tasted NV in Sept 2018. 90 points
This winery was awarded third in the National Wine Awards of Canada 2017 ranking. Cuddy By Tawse is a non-vintage, Traditional method sparkling wine blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris wine grapes sourced from the Niagara Peninsula wine region. Pleasantly fragrant with ripe yellow apple and baked goods on the nose with baked apple pie and pink grapefruit zest flavours on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews
