Reviews and Ratings

Pam Hatton rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby velvet with initial aromas of meat that give way to a rich black currant, cherry and white pepper nose. Medium bodied with light tannins giving a smooth finish of red and black fruit and spicy edge. Cellar for a bit to let the tertiary flavours develop and pay dividends.
Jisun Hahn CAPS Certified Somm rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Baco Noir is a resilient grape, one that can thrive in cooler growing wine regions. As a result it should be no surprise that a notable Niagara producer has mastered the production of this wine. This vintage is a deep inky violet and on the palate presents itself as liquid velvet. Loads of vanilla, ripe black fruit and that signature note of cappuccino that I adore. Enjoy this full bodied smooth wine with grilled soy marinated flank steak, wild mushroom risotto and crispy parmesan coated baby potatoes.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Luxurious steak wine!
Brilliant ruby red in the glass, with aromas of blackberries, smoke and eucalyptus that transform into a velvety mouthfeel and a white pepper finish.
Enjoy now or cellar for another 5 years.
Tasted November 2019.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

black currant, vanilla, plum, milk chocolate, and lots of spicy black pepper. Henry of pelham does a great job with this grape - very ripe, balanced, and full bodied. Serve with cracked pepper pork loin, mushroom pate.
Colette Martin rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby in color. Aromas of blackcurrant, eucalyptus and smoke. Dark fruit on the palate with a velvety mouthfeel. Lingering flavors of licorice, smoke and spice.
