Blasted Church Vineyards Syrah 2008, Okanagan Valley V.Q.A., Canada: Gorgeous chocolate-mocha, dark-fruited nose followed by loads of casis, black cherry, dried tobacco and plum on the palate. This crimson, robust, smooth wine needs food, and will get along with many hearty dishes. There's 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Viognier in the blend for extra complexity and nuance.
