Lovely, zesty Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of lime, chives and fresh herbs. Not grassy. Lovely bite, incredible price. Terrific, mouth-watering aperitif.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: seafood dishes, especially mussels, oysters and squid.

Reviews and Ratings

Carol Lee McInnis rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Excellent wine. Similar to villa Maria for 12.95
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

As a child, I picked gooseberries from a bush in the back yard. This crisp NZ Sauvignon Blanc brings back those memories in a glass. Also apparent is the fragrance of canned peas, both reflected on the palate along with bright acidity and a mouth-watering finish. Terrific value. Try with chicken/veg stirfries.
Holly Bruns rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

In the glass this wine has got those tell-tale New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc things about it: asparagus or pea shoots, and grass mingling with some crisp citrusiness, all topped off with a gooseberry overtone. Light and zingy. Good value.
Grapes are from number of carefully selected parcels of fruit sourced from vineyards in Marlborough and other regions. The parcels are all separately vinified and then post ferment all components are assessed by the winemaking team to ensure that they exhibit the kind of characters that have made New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc so famous. Once the final assemblage is decided upon, the wine is blended, stabilised and bottled.
