Hardys Butcher's Gold Shiraz Sangiovese 2009 Wine Review
A terrific, full-bodied red with mouth-watering savoury notes that make it extra food-friendly, especially with hearty dishes and tomato sauces. A black-cherry-infused finish. Gets my vote! 4.4/5 Shiraz Sangiovese food pairings: pan-fried veal cutlets with oven roasted beets, kipfler potatoes, and whole shallots with mushroom and gardlic reduction.

2008 vintage. Aromas of plum, raisin, currant, oak, sour cherry with nuances of mint. Plum, fruit forward with ripe fruit on the palate. Ripe tannins for drinking now. I would serve this slightly chilled. Tasted May/2012.

sourced from premium vineyards in South Australia. The winemaking process highlights the vineyard qualities of these two great varieties, with the Shiraz offering dense, sweet fruit and the Sangiovese delivering savoury, rustic tannins and a dark cherry
Fresh, lifted characters of dark plum and black cherry dominate the aromas of this wine. Underlying hints of red fruits and ground aniseed add intrigue to the nose with supporting oak spice.
The palate displays bright, expressive fruit flavour of dark cherry and summer berry fruits. Vibrant, juicy fruit is complemented by a layered savoury tannin structure and juicy, mouth-watering acid finish,leading to a long and textured finish.
