Muscadet food pairings: steamed mussels and frites, oysters pot pie, seafood medley on creamy, spinach fettuccini noodles.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Crushed oyster shell, flowers, lime, minerals, and tart green apple. 90 points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Olivier de Maisonneuve rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Hmmm the nose is of course,a little bit simple, but boy is it different in the mouth! Apple and lemon aromas waltz with a certain bitterness to offer you a tender and scrumptious mouthfeel. I agree with Natalie and some of my esteemed collegues: do pair it with a creamy seafood pasta dish!
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Green apple and grapefruit pith nose, more pith, lemon, and a bit lees-y, bitter almond on the palate leading to the finish. Nutty overtone is quite attractive. Definitely a food wine - preferably shellfish (clams, oysters, scallops)
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Beautiful, crisp, mouthwatering acidity and great value. Tart citrus, orange blossom floral notes, Granny Smith apple. Pair with light seafood dishes, summer salads, lightly seasoned poultry dishes. Summer sipper, dry, patio wine. Crowd pleasing guaranteed. Tasted March 2017. 88 points.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of aromatics on the nose with a zesty, crisp mouthful of green apple and minerality. Delightful with seafood!
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Bright pale straw. Lots of fresh green apples on the nose and and equally abundant amount of apple flavours in the mouth, which are well-supported by high and long acidity. This wine was matured "sur lie", which gives it a light almond bitterness on the finish. It should be very nice to pair with shellfish or oysters and, alternatively, to drink with a creamy pasta dish to cleanse the palate. Score 88. (S.Segard, Reviewed Mars 26 2017).
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Grassy, green apple nose. Crisp, very tart, lime on the palette. Very refreshing. Pair with a hot summer day. You could do a great seafood, oyster or smoked salmon with this.

(Tasted March 28, 2017)
Dan Carkner reviewed this wine as follows:

Juicy pink grapefruit and Granny Smith apple lead off the nose with seaside grasses and a salty minerality remind you of the terroir this wine comes from. Strong citrus (lime, tangerine) with a repeat of the fresh cut green apple, fresh herbs, and brine create a very refreshing, mouthwatering wine. Very dry and quite tart, this muscadet would do fine on a hot terrace, or alongside creamy, surface ripened cheeses.
From Claude Branger, vigneron-récolter, Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Sur Lie from the Loire wine region showcases just what the Melon de Bourgogne grape can do. Le Fils Des Gras Moutons (2015) is fresh, crisp and crunchy green fruit with a little leesiness to add structure to the wine. Bone dry and fantastic with seafood. - Community Wine Reviews
