Intriguing nose with cranberry, earth, milk chocolate , smoke and vanilla. The complex palate shows cranberry and tart cherry, earth, vanilla, baking spices, and dark chocolate. Dry and food-friendly with good acidity and a long dark berry finish.

Oregon is becoming increasingly well known around the world for their impressive, consumer friendly, and well balanced Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The Erath 2012 Pinot Noir shows the hallmarks of Oregon's Pinot Noir, characterized by light tannins and fruit-forward flavours. Medium ruby red, with black cherry, cranberry, vanilla, herbs, and a touch of underbrush, make this a fine wine to enjoy with autumn dishes, such as cream of beet soup with feta and herbs. Aromas of red plum, strawberries, and violets. The taste is cheery and strawberry, with just a touch of tannins and medium-plus acidity. Pair with pork tenderloin in a light spice rub.

A great example of Oregon Pinot Noir - partway between Old World and New in terms of profile.

On the nose, cherry, strawberry, ripe red plum, red liquorice, hint of white pepper and definite floral blossoms.

Medium+ flavour intensity, with all those red fruits coming through, plus a tartness of crabapple.

This should age nicely, and develop further earthy aromas.

We don't see enough Oregon Pinots in this market at this price point.
