Travaglini Gattinara 2013, Piedmont D.O.C.G., Italy: If you like Barolo, try this one as it's also made from the Nebbiolo grape. This rustic, robust Italian red wine is monstrously tannic with tarry black fruit, so it needs cellar time. Decant 2 hours. Try it with a rack of lamb. White Wine

Zenato Pinot Grigio 2017, Veneto I.G.T., Italy: Zenato 2017 is a dry and crisp, great value Pinot Grigio from the Veneto wine region. Lime, white grapefruit, lemongrass mingle on the aromatics and follow through on the palate. Steely, clean and crisp with white melon notes. Great aperitif. Pair it with Dover sole or fresh oysters.
