Reviews and Ratings

Candied strawberry on the nose, but dry on the palate. Aromas of wild berries and some spice. Pretty, with some rose petal notes. Made from Refosco grapes grown on the estate's property. A small proportion are dried using the Appassimento method to concentrate the wine's acidity and freshness. Lots of mouth-watering acidity. MINE: This Italian Rosato from the Veneto wine region is candied strawberries on the nose, and red berries, rose petals and spice on the palate and a pretty coral colour in the glass. Made from Refosco grapes grown on the estate's property, a small proportion are dried using the Appassimento method to concentrate the wine's acidity and freshness. OTHER: Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: An attractive light rose pink rosé with aromatic rose petal, strawberry and cherry blossom notes. A juicy mouth watering patio rosé. A yummy pair with shrimp skewers. Tasted July 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca. OTHER: Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: A pretty pink rose with notes of rose petals and berry undertones. Dry, with a mouth watering acidity. Great on its own, with grilled seafood or Summer salads. OTHER: This is crafted using the appassimento process: a specialty of the iconic Masi that employs partially dried grapes to impart even greater concentration and flavour to the final wine. Expect this rosé to be bright and lively with tangy red fruit and a lifted floral tone. The appassimento process will also make its presence known through a distinctive smoothness and textured mouthfeel. Enjoy with grilled chicken, pork ribs or seafood. Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
