Sperling Vineyards Vision Series Chardonnay 2017, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia V.Q.A., Canada: The 2017 vintage of the Vision Series is a seductive and medium-bodied Chardonnay from Sperling Vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. On the palate there is hazelnut, yellow apple, freshly baked bread, nutty and baking spice. The wine grapes were hand-harvested, cluster sorted, then gently whole-cluster pressed and the wine juice fermented in large oak barrels. Pair with roast chicken. Red Wine

Clos de L'Oratoire des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2016, Châteauneuf-Du-Pape, Rhône A.P., France: A plushy, full-bodied red from the Southern Rhône with red plum, black raspberry, sweet spice and savoury herb flavours silky on the palate. The winery was originally built as a place of prayer in the 18th century. The vines are planted in limestone, sand and clay pebbles which results in wines of great concentration. Food pairings: grilled lamb, pepper steak, wild mushroom stuffed pork tenderloin.
