Natalie's Score: 88/100

This is a dry and full-bodied Chardonnay produced with grapes grown in the cool climate region of Chile's Casablanca Valley, temperature-moderated by the ocean and the reason why it's so crisp and zesty and not heavy. Rich with apple pie goodness, lemon-curd and smoky flavours, finishing long and smooth. Pair with roast turkey.

Chardonnay food pairings: barbecued chicken breast, lobster in butter sauce, cheese, pan fried fish.

Reviews and Ratings

Montes Alpha 2016 Chardonnay is a beautiful 100% Chardonnay at a beautiful price. From the Aconcagua Valley wine region, this is a zesty, juicy and balanced big Chardonnay with a fresh green apple and toasty oak nose. On the palate, it is dry, weighty with apple cobbler and oak spice flavours on the palate. Chill and enjoy now. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
