Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

A very enticing Barbaresco with some very berry fruit forward aromas (raspberries, cranberries, cherries, & blackberries) and hints of baking spices (cinnamon, cloves & anise). More bakings spices (anise), dark chocolate and tobacco combined with the juicy berry aromas come through on the palate. A well-balance medium bodied wine with young grippy tannins and an overall velvety smooth mouthfeel. I can't think of any exceptional food pairing because I just love the wine on its own way too much.
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

This Barbaresco boasts a sexy bouquet of violets, licorice and a hint of eucalyptus, and follows with luscious flavours of cherries and vanilla. A perfect balance of acidity, tannins and alcohol will bring your date night come to life!
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Pale garnet and medium(-) body. There's a hint of caramel at the tail end of the aromas reminiscent of Port wine.Cherry, vanilla, violets, toffee, pepper, earthy. Palate is smooth with polished tannins. Medium+ balancing acidity. Lots of bang for your buck here at $21. Tastes like it cost much more! Peaking now. Thoroughly enjoyed on it's own. Hard Italian cheeses, Spaghetti Bolognaise.
Tasted: November 2014
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An aromatic Barbaresco from Piedmont that will make your nose as happy as your mouth! Lots of floral violets, leather, woods, tobacco and ripe red fruit on the nose. A rich complex palate continues the party in your mouth. Long spicy finish. Luscious with game or mushroom risotto. Terrific VPB at $20.75-stock up for the holidays!
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This D.O.C.G. from Piemonte is intense - in both colour, aromas and taste! Beautiful nose of black cherry and violets. Pair with game or aged cheese.
Astrid Young - Sommelier ISG CAPS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

slightly reductive on first nose, but with a swirl it gives up some typical violet and pipe tobacco aromas, and a pronounced and singular black licorice note. Medium bodied and chewy with ripe tannins and enveloping acidity. Black fruit, dried plums and prune nectar perch on the back, lying in wait for a nice juicy steak. Great value from this region, worth picking up a few to have on hand.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep, intense flavours of dried fruit and berry, as well as a hint of tobacco smoke, cherry and ripe plum. Grippy tannin, medium body, good acidity. Great with pizza with sausage, or even a steak, although I would enjoy it just as much on its own too.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Enrico Serafino Barbaresco 2010 is an excellent wine at a reasonable price! The aromas are quite pleasing and on the palate it doesn’t disappoint. Cherry, blackberry, vanilla and a nice earthiness. Tasted November 2016 (90/100)
Tom Vigeant reviewed this wine as follows:

Ripe cherries, tobacco aromas. Medium body, dry, well balanced tannins, fresh acidity, pleasant ripe berry flavours, alcohol does come on a little strong and takes a bit of the shine off the fruit.
