Angel's share refers to the small amount of wine that evaporates from the oak barrels during maturation while the wine is aging. Medieval winemakers assumed that the angels watched over the wines being made and took their share in recompense. This terrific Australian red wine is bursting with black fruit, tar, graphite and toasty oak. This is a whopper of a wine. Pair with roast beef

Shiraz food pairings: gourmet burgers, mutton with mint and coriander, black bean soup, cheese pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Jeff Wilson rated this wine as 93/100
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine is insane. Under 25 bucks and ready to drink now. Classic McLaren Vale: bigger fruit, bright acidity, long finish. Loads of black briar, plum skin, sassafras, melted licorice, and warm spice. Sleek and sexy, this wine belongs with a well-marbled ribeye. 92 points.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great eye catching label on this wine - lots of intense dark fruit - blackberry, plum, cola, coffee, chocolate, floral, earth and oak - this is a big wine! Silky tannins and a long spicy finish. Pair with burgers stuffed with bacon and cheese.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark fruit and toasty oak on the nose with blackberry, vanilla, spice and coffee notes on the palate. Spicy, velvety smooth tannins finish off a wonderful wine.
Two Hands Angels' Share (2015) is a big, big Shiraz from McLaren Vale, South Australia. Lots of black fruit, dark plum, dark chocolate and all things dark on this one. Finishes with cardamom, anise spice and velvety tannins. Drink now and for the next 10 years. - Community Wine Reviews
