The Primitivo wine grapes for Masserie Pisari 2021 are grown in the Conca d'Oro Valley, 10 minutes from the cooling and moderating breezes off the Mediterranean Sea. Dry and full-bodied, the wine is a mouthful of ripe and rich red berry, plum, blueberry, pepper and sweet dried tobacco leaf spices with crisp acidity on the palate. Enjoy with lamb kebabs and gourmet burgers from the grill.

Primitivo food pairings: cheese pizza, hard cheeses, roast leg of veal.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A full-bodied, smooth red wine with aromas and flavours of ripe dark berries, plums, tobacco leaf and fennel. The grapes are grown on hills just 10 minutes from the Mediterranean, whose gentle night breezes ensure an excellent acidity in the wines from that region. Pair it with Prosciutto and hard cheeses like parmesan, or spicy sausages.
