Intense, ripe flavours of black berry, cassis, black pepper and cloves with an opulent yet refreshing mouth-feel. This wine is judiciously oaked and is a great example of New World Syrah.
Enjoy today, or cellar for 3 - 5 years.
Pair with braised meats.

Deep purple. Sweet plum and cassis aromas, with vanilla and baking spice. A touch of pepperiness to keep it grounded. Very plush and lingering wine with cassis and anise. Not a lot of acidity. I would pair this with blue cheese burger.

August 17, 2014: Deep ruby, plummy, smoky, toasty, vanilla and spice on the nose. Some sweetness on entry, plummy, toasty with soft tannins and medium acidity. Lacking varietal characteristic, this comes across as a commercial/generic wine for mass appeal. Good for an outdoor BBQ party.

Cherry, some moka and light spice on nose. Fleshy, full bodied, ripe plummy and black cherry flavours. Intense (a little off balance) oak and alcohol characteristic of commercial shiraz, lacks a bit of acidity. Lingering finish. BBQ/pizza/burger wine.
