Wakefield Jaraman 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is mesmerizing on the nose with dark berries, eucalyptus, mocha and sweet spicy tobacco. Dry, full-bodied and savoury on the palate with ripe dark plum, mulberry, mocha, menthol, cedar and toasty oak spice flavours textured and vibrant on the palate. Tannins are smooth and rounded. Drink or hold.

Reviews and Ratings

Bernard rated this wine as 93/100
Trent Mayers rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

One should always be on the lookout for classic Cabernets from the Claire Valley in Coonawarra, Australia and this is one. It has intense aromas of cassis, black cherry, mint, cigar box, and vanilla and the palate follows with the same. The tannins are high, so it could cellar for a couple more years or serve it now with steak, lamb, or stuffed peppers.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tons of flavour in this robust Aussie Cab. Aromas of blackberry and blueberry along with hints of cassis, cigar box, and eucalyptus. Dry on the palate with drying tannins, bold, ripe berry notes and a slight minty hint on the finish. Enjoy with any grilled meats.
Wakefield Jaraman 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is fragrant with dark berry, cherry, eucalyptus, sweet dried tobacco and toasty oak spice. You can sniff at this one all day and never tire of it. The wine is dry, full-bodied and rounded with a lingering finish on the palate. Pour with roast rack of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
