This wine is made by the coveted Sassicaia winery. Juicy and savoury with smoky black fruit and full-bodied richness. Lots of acidity. Needs a hearty meat dish. Decant 2 hours. Pair with Kobe beef.

A stunning wine! Baked goodies, dark stewed and dried fruit, with great acidity, structure, and balance. Very impressive - highly recommended. Tasted November 2016. 93 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous wine! It's full-bodied with deep fruit concentration and a lingering note of winter baking spices . Ripe plums, cassis, and allspice hit the high notes with a smooth mouthfeel and a long mouthwatering finish. A recommended pair with spaghetti squash and meatballs. Tasted Nov 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An all-around impressive super Tuscan done in a new world style. Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%) in Fr. oak for 15 mos. Medium purple in colour with pink reflections with a pronounced and layered bouquet - dark cherries, dark plum, blackberries, loads of stewed dark fruit and smokey herbal notes consisting of black tea, eucalyptus, green pepper, prune, floral violets, mossy mushrooms and soy sauce. Black cherry flavours with plum, cigar tobacco and nice round glycerine. Medium body, acidity, tannins and length. Enjoyable and full. Decanting advised. Pair with venison roast. 92 points - tasted March 2017
Simon Chen rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Not a big fan of the 14 vintage. The structure of the wine is relatively thin but it also has really good acidity, which makes it not very balance. Perhaps decanting it will let the wine open up. Overall a nice wine but not good QPR.
Tenuta San Guido Winery's Guidalberto (2014) is deep ruby-red -- a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot wine grapes. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
