Tedeschi's Capitel Nicalò Superiore 2016 is an elegant, medium-bodied wine with smooth tannins. Excellent value. The wine was matured in Slavonian oak. Look for mocha, espresso, black olive and cherry aromas and flavours on the palate. Pair with mature cheeses and charcuterie.

Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Mouthwatering nose combining fresh dark fruit aromas with savoury herbs including sage, rosemary, and thyme. Healthy and balanced doses of acidity, tannins, and body. Palate leads with black cherry and plum before finishing with more herbs. Just begging for an herb-crusted roast. Very good value.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Inky, purple in the glass. Black cherry and pepper on the nose that carry to the palate. Nicely integrated. The finish is slightly hot with fine tannins. Overall a satisfying pour. This would be quite versatile and go with grilled burgers or grilled portabellas, pizza, pasta or stew. Tasted April 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
